The 3rd and 5 th Sem classes will commence from 17.07.2025 ( Thursday).Attendance is compulsory for all.
5 th Sem students are to assemble in Damien hall at 1 pm on 17.07.2025 for registration of free internship which will be conducted by Internship committee. Internship is a compulsory part of curriculum and offers two credits of 60 hours. Being absent for registration means the student has to look for internship herself which usually costs a lot of money.
First day attendance of 3 rd Sem students will be collected from HODs.

Southfield College was founded as Loreto College, in Darjeeling in August, 1961 as a women’s college. At the request of the Government of West Bengal, the Irish Branch of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Darjeeling Loreto Educational Society agreed to take care of its management. However, due to the lack of personnel the Loreto nuns were compelled to hand over the college to the Government of West Bengal, hence to be run as Southfield College.
