NOTIFICATION
In relation to the practical examinations of U. G. Even Semester Examinations, 2023, except Geography (Honours), the Colleges are hereby requested to ignore the previous notifications
regarding span of conducting practical examinations (Honours / Program) and are requested to reschedule the U. G. Even Semesters practical examinations as per convenience of the Colleges. The university will be sending the names of the external examiners [for the honours practical and for the program practical (wherever applicable)] and the individual colleges are requested to contact them and coordinate the practical examinations within the new stipulated time. As the university does not send any question papers for practical examinations except Geography Honours, this rearrangement is necessary keeping the upcoming panchayat election in mind. As some of the theoretical examinations in the month of July might get rescheduled, the practical examinations need to be completed by 10th August, 2023 in order to avoid further delay in the publication of the results.
The markslips and ACSRs of U. G. 4th & 6th Semester Practical Examinations, 2023 will be uploaded to the College Member’s area and emailed at the three departments where U. G. courses are taught and CIS on 26th June, 2023 instead of 4th July, 2023.
The date of uploading the ACSRs and markslips of U. G. 2nd Semester Practical Examinations, 2023 will be communicated later.

Southfield College was founded as Loreto College, in Darjeeling in August, 1961 as a women’s college. At the request of the Government of West Bengal, the Irish Branch of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Darjeeling Loreto Educational Society agreed to take care of its management. However, due to the lack of personnel the Loreto nuns were compelled to hand over the college to the Government of West Bengal, hence to be run as Southfield College.
