In the Combined Annual Training camp (CATC) conducted from 05:01:2025 to 14:01:2025 at Mirik Degree College, Mirik, the following medals/trophies were bagged by the cadets of Southfield College:
Kalista Pradhan: Best cadet
Avipsa Chakraborty: First position in Essay Writing
Shriya Darnal: Second position in Drill
Kiran Sewa: First position in Solo song category (Cultural)
Sristika Lepcha: Second position in Essay Writing
Kalista Pradhan: Third position in Essay writing
Besides this, Anamika Gurung and Ashiana Tamang received Gold medals in volleyball; Priyanka Tamang, Nena Rai and Diya Ghising received silver in football; Samiksha Karki and Nena Rai received silver in Tug of war.
The final day event was hosted by Southfielders Sthuti Rai and Kalista Pradhan.
Southfield College was founded as Loreto College, in Darjeeling in August, 1961 as a women’s college. At the request of the Government of West Bengal, the Irish Branch of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Darjeeling Loreto Educational Society agreed to take care of its management. However, due to the lack of personnel the Loreto nuns were compelled to hand over the college to the Government of West Bengal, hence to be run as Southfield College.
