Psychological Counselling Session
Venue: Damien Hall and few classrooms
Time: 10: 15 am
The counselling session will be conducted by four experienced counsellors and it is compulsory for all UG and PG students.
The group is divided as follows:
Political Science & English : Damien Hall
History & Nepali: Mary Ward
All PG, & Geog UG : Old library
Education, Sociology & General: AV Room/Girls’ common room

Youth Festival organised by Bangalore based SOLVECON where the students from Darjeeling, Kalimpong and north east will be present.

The councillor of each department is to select 2/3 students from their department who would represent the college and send the list to the Coordinator, Community Engagement Cell by 20:05:2025.

Southfield College was founded as Loreto College, in Darjeeling in August, 1961 as a women’s college. At the request of the Government of West Bengal, the Irish Branch of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Darjeeling Loreto Educational Society agreed to take care of its management. However, due to the lack of personnel the Loreto nuns were compelled to hand over the college to the Government of West Bengal, hence to be run as Southfield College.
